What colour are you painting the swing arm/bevel box? Would look good in black, silver is soo last year Silver Smootherite! Although Black would hide a multitude of sins. Considering the bling powder coating on the rest of the bike, won't that leave it looking a little dull? Isn't there a candy apple metalflake in hammerite's range that you could use? It'd go well with burple.

I did suggest black swingarm and powder coating on the wheels.
He no longer wants purple, it's red with a metal flake through it this week. I have to admit that's preferable.

I was looking at blue spot calipers. Can these be used with the standard reservoir or would this need changed too?

Cheers, calipers look great but the reservoirs not so good. What no flaking matt black carp on them you mean Plastic reservoirs are sooo much more practical and you can always buy a burple sock to cover 'em for that extra bling factor

ISTR the blue spot calipers have pistons at diameters 27mm and 30mm, so you'd be wanting a 14mm master cylinder. This is the standard ratio on tons of bikes, e.g. 92-97 Fireblades and R1's which came with those calipers.
Is that the standard size on the 900 Divvy?

I would imagine the standard master cylinder and reservoir will work fine with 'blue spot' calipers.
I would certainly try before changing the reservoir.

Don't be afraid to hand paint items using hammerite, can be just as good as powder coating if applied using the correct primer At the end of it all, it will be 1000 times better than it was and will last you many more years to come

I like the black fork legs and gold brakes.
Bevy considered gold for the brakes but I think he's going to try to source decent blue spots now, plenty on Ebay. The disks might well still go gold.
