I like it but its been based on a VT500 Ascot theres not many pictures of the VT500E (I think Eurosport)but I would like it to look something like this...... motoprofi.com/motospecspictures/honda/vt_500_e-1986.htmlof course liking something and having something are two differant stories

A good tip is to buy something the same colour as one of your existing bikes. By the time confusion has subsided, you can declare "Oh that old thing - I've had it ages ". Best not used every other week, or the penny will drop. Oh well looks like I'm going to have to hide a Varadero 125 I will probably get for Miss Mini Mud tomorrow if I can make space in the garage Neil

They've been getting a hell of a promotion on here lately (the VT500 that is!). So much so that I think I'll have a look for one. After a swift precursory look it looks like most (all!) of them have been bodged beyond recovery.

to covertcodger theres one on gumtree www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-vt-500-ef-eurosport-1987/1058223322BUMBLEBEE as for my projects the bumblebee is looking good as all the electrics are working and the engine coughed to life with a squirt of fuel in each cylinder. MARTINBIKE charged the battery and plan on having a look at the electrics this weekend but worse case scenario would involve swapping the wiring looms over. The carbs from both bikes are in for a stripdown and clean this weekend too!

I got the black VT running today and discovered 2 plugs per cylinder one of the plugs was not in at the rear of the engine and the resulting flame shooting out alerted me to its presence. The carbs are jammed up and are gonna take a lot of work Now have enough storage for my wifes booze when we go camping! Ratbike is coming on lol

I have every confidence in the carbs on the martin bike! The Rat bike however is a whole differant story with a burst slide diaphragm and all sorts of crumby bits they may be beyond saving lol
