So, where's the meeting point and what's the route for the Saturday ?
We might just stop by and say Hi before we do our own thing, depending on the planned run.

with only a week to go, I need to decide what bike to take, as M40man may be taking his clapped out Honda, I am tempted to take this old clunker, not the fastest bike in the world, but fun to ride non the less, and taxed and Mot'd which the R100RT is yet to be sorted with those!

with only a week to go, I need to decide what bike to take, as M40man may be taking his classic Honda, I am tempted to take this old clunker .... Despite the best efforts of an idle layabout young flymo, the Honda won't be ready for JR14 .

Ah shame, maybe iI will let the weather gods decide, if it's good, then take the fazer, if its windy, take the breva, if it's not so good, take the BMW, that fairing is an advantage if the rain gods attend!

I decided that the braking needed a boost, original now, just waiting for a wheel to arrive with the twin discs attached, if it doesn't arrive in time, I can always borrow the front wheel of the R100RT

Time for a few hints and tips for our travelers For those using the M74/M8/A82 to get to Helensburgh this is the tricky junction in Glasgow that requires a bit of attention or you'll be in the car park for the subway station! Stay out of the left hand lane, it might be better sign posted now, but I haven't seen them. On the A82 a few miles after the Erskine bridge, there's a daft old painted sign on a wall directing you left to Helensburgh. Its here at the traffic lights just beyond the Milton Inn. The easy route is to carry on along the A82 and watch out for the first roundabout here after you get the nice view of Loch Lomond. Take 1st left onto A818 and follow it right into Helensburgh down the hill turning right at the 3rd set traffic lights, along the shore road for about a mile and you're at the Travelodge/Commodore hereNow some good news. Two eating places in town have just been voted best in Scotland, the Wee Kelpie chippie ( close about 9.30 I think), and La Barca, (best Mediterranean food). We also have a Wetherspoons (Henry Bell) on James St. hereThe food in the Commodore is pretty good if your too knackered. Mags and me are still mulling over whether to avoid the road works on Loch Lomond and take the A83 to Inverary, the A819 to Dalmally and the A85 towards Tyndrum and back onto the A82 . If somebody lets me know when you get flung out on Friday we'll meet you in the car park, + I'm up for a swally on Thursday night
