Had to sign up as a newbie because I forgot my log in! Some old timers might remember me and the bike from a few runs around 6 years ago. My username was something like muchanick .. but can't remember it exactly. Me and the wife did the Isle of White run/weekend in 2007 if anyone remembers us from Cornwall. We stopped the bike runs when the wife contracted arthritis and couldn't ride any more. Now she's recovering from a brain haemorrhage and being her carer I don't have the time to ride as I used to.

Welcome back your post rings a bell arthritis aint an excuse to hang up your helmet or I would have done but a brain haemorrhage well a friend of mine had one 2 years ago & has made a complete recovery its just the arthritis now & she is waiting for a knee replacement head is fine. I hope Mrs cornishjohn makes a full recovery & may be we will see you both on future runs. BTW I don't want another D900 at the moment Neil

That looks a cracking bike for someone, you have certainly looked after it, though it's strange it is still running the old brake hoses!
but it's way to much money with nearly 100k on the clocks, and at this time of year you will struggle to sell it,
typical 50k milers that are usable tidy and fitted with luggage racks, and stainless exhausts are in the £550-600 mark,
ebay is full of overpriced dealers and private sellers who think the value is just below the dealers, they don't sell for that, dealers need to make a decent margin, and they appeal to those less able or willing to take a risk,
I know thats not what you want to hear, D9's are well under valued for what they are,
but don't take my word on it, take it to your local bike shop and ask him what he will pay on a straight sale, no part exchange, I guarantee you will not like what he offers,
and what he offers plus 15% is what it should sell for,
put it up for that and it should be easy to find a buyer on here!
Oh and best wishes to the wife, my wife had a brain hemorage in 2007, not easy how they go in through the leg to stent it, bonus though she gave up smoking, during her 2 months stay in hospital, she still has memory issues, though I manage to use those to my advantage!
