Seems I am now in the market for one following a rather unsuccessful pad change earlier today.
In the 15 years this bike has been running, it doesn't look like the calipers have ever been serviced, and once we opened them up today we found that;
1. Both pistons had seized solid, and refused to move under pressure ... It was a proper motorbike workshop attempting this and they had to give up.
2. There was a big stress fracture going across both sides of the caliper.
The Garage have told me it's past the stage of being serviceable, and to look for another one .... Easier said than done as do you think I can find another rear caliper??
So, my question is this .... What other bike calipers will fit mine? I don't have the money to buy a new new one from Yamaha so it's going to have to be a used/refurbished one but need help in my search.
Cheers in advance.

I'm new to divvys but believe that one is a winner as I'm sure 97/98 - 03 were the last facelift , I'm sure someone else will know if they changed during that time but I highly doubt it .

Cheers mate.
I've bought it in either case .... Worse case scenario is I have to order one in from the states, but with import charges I'm looking at close to £200 :/
The divvy's are good bikes, but when things go wrong they do go wrong lol!

Just a quick update:
I've also bought a complete rear brake caliper (comes with master cylinder, footpeg, light switch etc...) from a 97 model thundercat to try that too.
