... if I have the miles and distance between fuel stops, then I can make a decision! After finding that the CB750 reserve doesn't work, I'm thinking of bringing my emergency reserve fuel tank, if that assists with the decision making .

Fuel shouldn't pose a problem providing you can manage 70 miles between fuel stops. We will stop for fuel for those with tiny tanks/thirsty bikes, before our lunch stop at Leyburn. I decide against lunch at Tan Hill after waiting over an hour for our order on Friday, week before last. If the weathers decent the place will still be crawling with holidaying lycra clad cyclists.

I'll get my apology out of the way first. We suffered a domestic burglary recently and I've been heavily involved with both the Police and the insurance company over recent weeks and haven't given this thread the attention I should have. Secondly, I am now required to work on the Saturday before the Dales run. It won't affect the Sunday run, but does mean I won't be able to escort those attending earlier on Saturday on any shorter Saturday run out. (And Martin so loved his ride down the golden mile at Blackpool last year.) Sorry. I will join you guys in Malham on Saturday evening for a bite to eat and lead out on Sunday as normal.

Understandable, you've had a lot going on! Martin will be raight on the Saturday, we'll be having a jolly over to Malham in the afternoon, arriving about 6ish to prepare for the evenings entertainment, (Roger doesn't know he's part of it though ) See you Saturday. Trev.

I am going to attend,
Suzuki X7 has filled the garage with two stroke fumes,
It's refusing to tick over consistently, despite a full carb rebuild, but running nicely off idle,
The kill switch doesn't seem to work though
It's quite quick up to 75, or maybe it just seems so, it's more fun than the Enfield though!

Still I am unlikely to put diesel into the X7 this weekend

Best to approach via Settle. There is a fuel station in the centre of Settle just prior to the turn off to Malham.

I've completed a timing run in blazing sunshine today. Route is approx' 145 or 160 miles dependant on finishing location. If the weathers fine, we'll complete the run at Devils Bridge, Kirby Lonsdale. If the weather isn't kind to us we'll head back to Gisburn to the Deli' cafe and have a brew inside there before splitting. There is no off road section, unless you get it wrong. There are however a couple of single track roads which I noticed had a degree of gravel collecting in the centre of the road where 4 wheeled traffic wasn't clearing it. The Dales run should, depending on how long lunch takes, be completed by about 4pm. For the benefit of those who attended last year, virtually all this years roads are new. We only venture briefly on to previously ridden tarmac.

Nah, will wing it on the run on Sunday morning, won't be the first time I've set off on a run and noticed a little amber light on the dash
