Hello guys , so my collector has seen better days at on side and has developed rust with acouple of pin holes but the stainless is still pretty solid. So I'm looking for some one who could put on a couple of patches or ideally just encase the y section giving it another skin.
Thanks for reading

Stainless can crack but should not have rusted. If its mild steel the metal will be thin so welding wont help for more than a few weeks before it holes somewhere else.

Definitely stainless, a motad nexxus 4-2-1, rusted at the y. Stainless does rust if contaminated by carbon steel so my assumption is it was contaminated at some point of it's life

Buffed down with a mini wire wheel shows rust and 3 pin holes Sorted now till I get a new system , welded plates over it creating a new outer y section, painted with vht paint then wrapped with exhaust wrap which was then painted over the wrap with another layer of vht paint. That isn't a repair but a patch up till I can afford a new system ......... Prefer the 4-2 systems but bike came with a 4-2-1.
