true enough, in 3.5 yrs of owning an XJ600 I've never had any interest shown in it whatsoever by other bikers, not that it bothers me particularly but it is indicative of the bike's blandness/lack of excitement on the other hand, as the advert implies (bomb proof winter hack), I find they are a faithful workhorse, comfortable, good value and economic to run.

There are plenty of benefits to owning an XJ600 and it is not as if you will arrive far behind a race replica on most journeys, or enjoy the ride that much less. You will probably arrive less frazzled from a long ride too. I even left the keys in mine a couple of weeks back (oops) and the bike was still there when I got back hours later, so you can add thief "resistant" to the list Despite it being 18 years old I have actually had quite a few good comments about my Diversion, maybe not from the leather romper suit, race replica, bike magazine writer type, but I don't consider them real bikers anyway. Most only take the bike out on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
