Hi all I'm looking for a bike to bike intercom but would rather not spend a huge amount of cash but also I don't want to end up with something that will only last a few weeks, Can anyone point me in the direction of something that will do the job without breaking the bank. Thanks Martin

I've got a pair of BT400's (I think). You'll find them all over ebay.
Never tried them as an intercom, but as a bluetooth headset for music and phone calls I can't fault them. You can (just about) have a conversation doing 80 down the motorway with them.
Will last a days riding (in constant use) on one charge and will last on standby for days.

Cheap intercoms just don't work. I've had a few and none have lasted long so I got a Scala rider and haven't looked back. Absolutely brill clear sound even at 80 mph & good battery life.

Hi, I got an Autocom 7 off flea-bay and never looked back, around £60 but well worth it. If you can afford the Scala kit then thats the one but I'm well pleased with the Autocom.

If you can source an Autocom, I have a couple of radios that match really well - powered be 12v, PMR frequencies an 4 watts output. I'll throw in the Autocom leads as well.
Yours for £40 for the lot. They're based on Kenwood amateur radio units - Puxing 777's.
On second thoughts, I have an Active Smart 7 that you could have too........ how about £100 for that, the two radios, cables and P&P?

That's a good deal. Would recommend the Autocom, mine works clear as a bell.

If you've got an Android phone you can get intercom software for free. You still need some kind of headset from phone to you though (cable or bluetoothe).
Iphones probably have this capability too but they'll charge you through the teeth for it.

I had an Autocom once, it was terrible so I had to get rid of it . . . I could hear every word my wife said
