Just about to buy an old (95) 900 Diversion. Been off of bikes for a year, last one was a Pan 1100, and the Divvy has come up for sale at a good price so have got the bug again. It's a 55000 miler in good nick, with a 4 into 1 exhaust, and overall looks good. Anything to look out for at that mileage ?

Not really - the usual overall condition. Every bike has its foibles, but for a budget, do-it-all, air-cooled, shaft driven Jap bike....there aren't to many out there that can compare. The more extras the better really............if it's been loved, it's probably been added to. 55,000 miles is barely run in Welcome btw. Where are you from? Rgds, Neil

Hi Neil, Thanks for the welcome, I'm from Kent. The bike has been owned by the same guy for the last 14 years or so and always put away for the winter. Overall, it looks good, bearing in mind it's 18 years old. The insurance is soooo cheap, and I'm hoping running costs generally are too. It's a green one as well, which I gather are the most desirable and the quickest :-)

Welcome wozzer (both of you ) The green one is definitely faster ;D Can't really go wrong with an XJ900. The exhaust collectors rust and are expensive to fix but if it has a 4 into 1 this is no problem for you. Buy it and enjoy it Rowlf
