Just a quick introduction, I have recently purchased my first bike since about 2001. A 1996 XJ600 Diversion in blue. Been stored in garage for the last 4 years. Bike history :- sorry no photos Yamaha DT 125 (passed test on this) Kawasaki GT550 Suzuki RG250 Suzuki RGV250 Honda CBR400 Honda VFR400 Kinnda bought the D6 as a favour from my sister as she needed the cash quick. She needed £400 so thats what i gave her. Ummmm this could have been a mistake!! Fitted new battery and after 5 mins she was running like a dream. Went for MoT on Saturday knowing it would fail on front tyre, now know it also needs rear shock, chain & sprockets, fork seals, cush drive/bearing and a nut on the brake lever (which i remember stealing some years ago for a mini project ) Also speedo doesnt work.....yet Not too bad really. The funny thing is on the way to and from the MoT i had the most fun (on my own) ive had in years - okay the handling was rubbish due to worn out shock and front tyre/forks, in fact in the words of the MoT tester "Riding it must be like riding a fat bird on a lilo!!" I did ask how he knew what that was like Why oh why has it taken me 12 years to get another bike?!!? Attachments:
