About 9.30? At the risk of sounding like a pedantic salad cruncher, can one be a bit more precise? Gotta get me portion of meat on arrival. Happy to help George satisfy your meat cravings - deli opens at 10:00am. Feck it, have to find a greasy spoon en-route then

The diner officially is open 10am but they usually are up and running about 9:30 throughout summer. I will speak with them to ensure meat cravings can be calmed in sufficient time. They will also slaughter a few mushrooms for Martin.

The D9 moves to a new owner tomorrow. He will be the recipient of any spare Yamaha items I locate. Please accept my sincere apology...

There is indeed a travel lodge there. However check the website for that lodge and it's £75 a room for Saturday night, not including breakfast which is why I hadn't prompted this as suitable.

Is the plan still to meet at the Deli on Saturday for 11:00 departure to Pops ?
Or is anyone going straight to Pops ?
Just checking
Are any of the Southern crew coming up the M6 to Gisburn ? If so, maybe hook up at Charnock Richard Services ?

We could meet you at those services - is 10:00am too late?

NB: A little birdy tells me the lunch meet with Pops is no longer at Knott-End Café. So don't go there direct! (I don't know where the new meet up is - some chippy somewhere though.)

... and here's me thinking you didn't do m/ways Not sure why you think I don't do motorways - you've travelled many motorway miles with me in the past . 230 miles to the start, for an 11:00 am kick-off, makes alternatives implausible. Not like Jock Runs, where I bimble up over a couple of days, is it ?

might struggle for parking round there on a Saturday dinner. It tends to get very busy as the market is now open on Saturdays.

Festival Of 1000 Bikes on this weekend. Steve has a stand so I thought I'd call in and catch up with a few friends on the way through. There normally are a few trade stands so let me know what falls off Martin's bike and I'll either get them from the stalls or pick his parts up off the hard shoulder later

Run itinerary as follows. Saturday depart Gisburn to pop's house before riding the last mile or two to Fleetwood. After lunch, a ride right down Blackpools's golden mile, ice cream stop on route back to Burnley. Sunday depart Gisburn through Settle and onwards to Ribble Head viaduct for an ice cream stop and photo opportunity. Continue to Hawes for a brew and fag stop. Onwards deeper into the Dales through Leyburn to Masham for lunch stop at the Black Sheep brewery. There is a fuel station situate next door. Head back across the moors to Pately bridgee for a further ice cream/brew stop. Continue via Grassington to Skipton where we collect for a brew before splitting. Each day is about 100 or so miles, the second day via some particularly tight winding lanes through gorgeous countryside. I haven't planned long routes as I can see some attending have travelled some distance to get here and face a similar long ride home later.
