Hmmm, I was planning on riding down Saturday morning and staying overnight in Gisburn. B&B isn't cheap in that neck of the woods , who was it who complained about Blairgowrie ? Might stay around the M6 and ride in for the Sunday run. I'll decide later.

By definition a Yorkshireman is nothing more than a Scot with the generosity beaten out of him.

The one just North of Skipton is £75 for the Saturday night.

And there's more... I've had a message from Pops. If, he's not well enough to ride out with us, he'd love anyone wanting to attend on Saturday to join me with a lunch time run to the Fylde coast to pay him a visit. We'd leave Gisburn Deli at 11am via the beautiful Forest of Bowland to meet up with him. Lunch on the coast has got to be at one of the top fish and chip shops. We should be back by 3:30pm. What happens if Pops is fit enough to ride out with us? Will he pop from Pops to then pop to Pops with us? Have you sorted the fish & chip shop yet? (Checked the veggie menu for me ?) Sat night looks like I may be stopping at Pops, to pop back to Gisburn Sunday morning for the main run. I must decide whether, having popped to Pops on Saturday afternoon, I then pop back to Gisburn to finish the Saturday pop to Pops, & then pop back to Pops, or not. Any help in clarifying any of the above welcomed .

No help in unravelling your dilemna/dilemma* ( which one is correct?)), but it's likely that with a strong following wind I could be cuddling up to you at chez Pops on the Saturday night, should I bring the nurses uniform ? *had enough just lately of unravelling your stuff

I've booked a double room, single-occupancy, so no cuddling required. I understand there is a back room still available though - sounds right up your alley .

If interested in Saturday dinner Knott-End Café serves a mixed menu that should satisfy all tastes If you want to go by ferry and if it is sailing and if etc you can always walk across the bay BTW I can recommend the fruit scone with butter and jam, well I had to have a reason to have a look at the menu for Martin.

.... a published vegetarian menu Good idea, ain't it ? Handy to know what a place sells, it saves a wasted journey, or having to phone up & check .

Thanks for thinking about me but unfortunately won't be able to make the Saturday run. Will be riding up to the run start on Sunday morning* and no doubt sampling a greasy spoon, strictly non veggie along the way. *subject to weather conditions

I'll try and create a sign up posting when I return from work. We meet at the village cafe, "The delicious deli", this is situate right on the corner of the A59 and the A682 at the western end of the village. The access road to Gisburne Park Hospital directly across the road has unrestricted parking sufficient for our needs. We leave at 10:30am for the run, allowing time for distant attendees to grab a bite of breakfast at the Deli if required. Anyone wanting a good b&b have a couple of choices. Park House Hotel, about 100m from the Deli. 01200 445269. White Bull Inn, about 50m from the Deli. 01200 445155. Anyone in need of a patch of grass to pitch a tent is welcome to use the grassed area next to my home. We should complete the circuit before 4pm at the Little Chef at Skipton. You can disperse from here after a brew. those wishing to not carry luggage on the run can leave at my home and collect after we leave Skipton. It's a further 10 miles. What time does the Deli open George ?

About 9:30 summer weekends. About 9.30? At the risk of sounding like a pedantic salad cruncher, can one be a bit more precise? Gotta get me portion of meat on arrival.
