Hello Ernie.
Ernie - fleetwood - mmmmm . . . are you the one that chooses the premium bond numbers?
Just a suggestion - put your location into your profile. In future when you come back with any questions, it sometimes helps if people know whereabouts you are, and they'll have forgotten this intro by then.
Ride safe.

Morning Ernie (not the milkman?) and welcome Good choice - I had a FZS600 years ago and now have the D9, and it suits my aging body well.

Hi Ernie, welcome to the club. Good choice of bike, but we need to know what colour it is (this affects performance and reliability) I swapped my old one in at Raceways at Fleetwood, so if thats where you got yours it could be the same one!

hi twohat, there is a green xj900 still at raceways with full lugage,if i remember about 45k on it,mine is green but was not from raceways, bought mine from copart salvage only had to put a foot peg on it,it does have a scrape on fairing on one side, other than that very clean only 25k,full deklavic exhaust headers colector box and pipes ,sound nice but not to noisy, flew through the mot,so very happy with it.

Sounds good Ernie - mine was a blue one with about 27k on the clock - it was only in there for a couple of weeks before they sold it I think. If you see it around Fleetwood, I've got the original standard screen for it the new owner can have - it has the datatag number etched on it so I can't sell it to anyone else! I've also still got the original zorst for it too, but I can't imagine why anyone would want that once they have heard a decent aftermeerkat one!
Happy riding!

Hi ernie... welcome Jeffro here yes the guys and gals? ? any on here will look after you. Ive only had my xj900 for a couple of months but the advice on here is superb. Ridesafe and enjoy. OH and another thing while im at it i lowered my arse end on the xj with some dog bones the seller gave me it was great for getting both feet on the floor at standstill but it handled like a bag o turds when trying to go round corners i wouldnt recommend it, keep it as it was designed. Thats my opinion it now handles like my old ZZR 1100 just a little slower lol.
