You made of money Martin whats wrong with the £10 Hein Gerrick version & cable tie it to the bars? Neil No fairing to mount it - need summat 'tidy' mounted on the bars. Which HG one you one about? Bar-mounted? I might be persuaded to tolerate a bracket on the bars. That Ebay one looks the biz though .

... look at those prices Crikey! I asked about a UK supplier because the US postage quote was a silly £27! Looks cheap now, compared to buying 'locally' . Thought the black version might be cheaper too - it ain't . ...... OK, so open to creative suggestions to achieve a similar look for less money .

Cheers Ken - is that a ciggy lighter socket though - very similar is available on Ebay. I need a Hella / Powerlet type (otherwise known as Marine or BMW-type) socket.

How do you stop the ciggy lighter plugs from vibrating loose? They are bad enough in a car.

How do you stop the ciggy lighter plugs from vibrating loose? They are bad enough in a car. That's why we use Powerlet / Hella plugs & sockets instead . (& they prove to be much more water-resistant too.)

Think this is the option that will be taken up. Seems a ready made fix, (albeit with cable ties), for our resident bodger. Just surprised he didn't come up with the idea himself? Mind ewe, in the light of recent posts, maybe he's trying too hard to escape from his legendary 'fix it' status. Posted in the vain hope that super sensitive types on this site will not be offended. No offence is given or implied in the nature of this post so please don't pm me asking for counselling or to be a wet nurse for pricked egos.

Actually, the CB750f has a nice uncluttered appearance & I want something discreet. If I can sort some luggage capacity & this, I'm thinking of ditching[1] the fazer & using the CB instead, for longer YDC runs. [1] I said 'ditching' . No offence, Trev .

Neil It's finding one that mounts discreetly [1] (on handlebars, not on flat surfaces) but doesn't break the bank that's the issue . Didn't ideally want to go the HRH or Mac way because they still look a bit 'clumsy', but perhaps needs must. [1] A Hella socket, not a Trev.

Originally from Llandudno run I seem to remember. I think it looked quite fetching myself! I only wish I had gone with red and not garish Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen green but that's all that the Tesco petrol station in Conway had! For that I apologise. ;D
