Hello I have just bought a 2001 xj900 Diversion 35,000 miles from ebay having never ridden one. It isn't anything like I expected but odly very satisfying I can see why it has such a following & good forum there is some v helpfull info here. I have a few general questions I can't see the answers to ie, The screen thats on it measures 20" top to bottom is that standard I wonder? Where is the right place to ask such things, please

Welcome, bignige . Lincolnshire eh? Look out for the Lincs Ditch Dweller . Standard screen is 41cm (or 16 & a bit inches).

What happened,are you ok,is the bike definitely dead? Yes insurance write of, never saw it after the recovery truck took it. I laid it down on a l/h bend fortunately the driver of the car coming the other way avoided runing over me. 8 days in Hospital & a few weeks off work nothing broken but I split my left kidney open. I'm on light duties & not allowed to ride till at least march. Thanks for asking
