Can someone tell me which ignition-live wire (what colour?) they used to patch their heated grips please? Going to fit some 'glove driers' for next weekends adventures .

I tried so hard to post in the correct place, too: Technical Info & Modification :: 900 . That "New Topics" button, handy as it is, can be a cause of embarrassment and a curse sometimes ;D You'll have an e-mail shorty shortly......

To anyone we know ? Ah - THAT email account? Got it now. Pic doesn't show which wire though ? And looking closely, where do I acquire the appropriate dead fly from ?

Fool. I thought the text associated with the e-mail might have been the clue - Not the red wire, but the orange/green(?) dual coloured wire from the T-connector. Dead fly can be found towards the front end of the bike, normally hidden in a nook or cranny somewhere - especially if the bike has recently had a little TLC applied to its exterior.

...I thought the text associated with the e-mail might have been the clue Ah. I see what you did wrong there. You combined text with a link to a picture, all in the one email. Was bound to end in confusion .

Thanks Lift the tank and look for the connector on the LHS downtube from the headstock. It looks like a "T". The red wire is a live feed to the ignition switch, the multi-coloured wire is the switched live return. Years ago I used a scotchlock connector, now I'd use a Posi-tap instead - or solder onto the wire itself. That's not to say the scotchlock didn't do it's job....it lasted and lasted. It's just that there are better options than a "bodge" Dead fly a co-incidental addition for scale.

now I'd use a Posi-tap instead Never heard of these before. Just Googled and they sound ideal.
