Chunk,
These costs are fine for an insurance claim but I'm sure if you do the work yourself you'll save a lot. I got indicators for £14each from the local bike shop when I made an ass of myself falling off in the company car park. Also got indicator for Brother in law's Triumph for £20 when qouted £56 from Triumph. Shop around.

I priced up a Divvie 600 fairing plastic only at best part of £400 factory paint etc. So Chuck's prices are pretty much what it costs. Though he could save on the labour - but why should he have to.
You said it's on video - so they can't argue. All the best getting it fixed.
PS Can I have your fuel tank sender :-)

Agree, make the buggers pay, (yes I know it's passed on in hiked costs to be insured), but the company that did the damage should bear the costs. Mindless morons, don't they realise it's someones pride and joy?
Go get 'em Ray.

Was actually thinking he could screw the maximum out of them, then save some money. Nothing like coming out ahead.

Normally on a claim the quotation is what a professional would charge to do the work. That is the going rate. They have damaged his property and it is up to them to repair it. You can always use your £50,000 of legal cover to claim against them properly. If they see lawyers fees on the horizon then they might be only too glad to settle for a grand or so.

That's bad. You've got the evidence and the costs for repair so ask them to pay up or you'll take the evidence to a Lawyer and Police and they'll get done for a lot more in the long run!
Go get em!! ;D

Damn, sorry to see the end result of some other idiots carelessness ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) But why would lose your NCB and excess if the damage wasn't your fault? In all the no fault claims I've had over the years I've always received 100% damages and never paid a penny. Else what's the point of having insurance LOL. -RW-

cheers el_bandito, tried to load the video on here so you all could see but no joy. as for the insurance i only renewed last thursday so if i don't here from cleanaway's in 14 days after they receive (photo;s,video, repair cost quote) then i may well go with my insurance to recover the loss + costs.

I couldn't get it to sort itself I'm afraid, hope someone else has better luck!
Good luck with the claim, I think you have enough evidence to make them crumble and pay up!

Great bit of evidence, you can clearly see the guy 'dump' the bin and walk away without putting the brakes on....should be a clear cut case...good luck friend!
