Im on my first set of Supermaxx touring M6209's and I really like them. I've never had a twich in the wet or dry BUT the only thing bugging me is the fact I've only done 3k miles and the back is nearly down to the wear limit This doesnt impress me really even though they are cheap it looks like I'll be using loads more rears. Ive been looking at the Avon Road Riders, read good and bad reports but I read the same about the Maxxis..............I'm just so undecisive when it comes to choosing tyres!!!!! In need of some help. I need a tyre with good wet grip, decent price (ie not Bridgestone prices) and gives more miles than the Maxxis, is that a little to much to ask much

I think the term is 'moon on a stick' I currently have Michelin Macadams on the GPz which last forever but have no actual grip in the wet. I have ordered a set of Maxxis and at £70 for a rear, I don't mind their short life, a BT023 was double the price!

Never tried the Stradas myselft, but the Maxxis imho were decent if not long lasting - they suited the D9 well with a bit of extra psi in the rear 45 instead of the usual 42.
I still by default come back to the Conti Road Attacks as I personally feel you can't beat them for handling, feel and price. I've put a rear RA2 on the Breva and will be adding a matching front when the Michelin Road Pilot 2 has seen its days....as they're an improvement.
Tyres as ever are a personal thing.....

No, but you do get a pair for the price of a single tyre of other manufacture..... Other than the wear, they're good tyres I suppose - that's the general opinion. Lapping the TT? Nice. I did a single lap of an airfield and it rendered my BT-020 useless a few years back. That put me off Bridgestones for life
