If you want a spare cutting locally, ask your local key cutters if they have a 'Silka Uni 8' blank. Should be a perfect match - mine is .

Martin you sure it is a Silka blank It doesn't seem right to me but what do I know. Are you sure? Just had to ask Perhaps there's a mention somewhere in the other threads about it, I'll go and look. Ah yes the great debate of May 2010 diversionclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=accessories&action=display&thread=11198Silca BT5R to be correct

Yes, I'm sure it's a Silka Uni 8. ........ you're probably thinking that I'm an old duffer who posts repeat information. Go on, admit it - I don't mind. But in reality, I saw that old thread & realised the muppet (bless him, he tries his best) had cocked-up, but I was too polite to point it out to him. So I thought a fresh thread (on the right board) was the best approach to take . Don't trust the guy who started that other post .

Got a "Timpson" shoe repair/key cutter near you? Their equivalent is a "Renz REN1R" key blank (their ref. code no. 3636). Works perfectly. They don't hold Silca stock.
