I had a 1966 T20 super six. which I bought on the 12.8.1966 for the grand sum of £219. Those were the days I was 44 years younger for a start

Awesome job Mac...
Im sure you'll do an equally good job on the next one?
Unlike me, did you actually manage to break even on the restore?

Is that additional pedal/lever some sort of handbrake? Keep you quiet won't it. I might try and restore the TDM ;D

Just an update on the project. Now temperatures in the garage have risen above zero I've made a bit of a start. Already realising just what an effort this is going to be. Rear end has been stripped and years of teenage bodges is coming to light. Looks like it could be a long job.

In an unashamed attempt to gain the award for the longest time between posts I thought I'd update my "2011" winter project.
The frame has been repaired and repainted and the fork legs were replaced as they were heavily pitted
The engine was stripped, blasted and steam cleaned
The bike is now in the first stages of reassembly with the hope I can complete it in time for The Classic Bike Show at Donington Park in August

That's coming along really nicely! I'm one of the few who have not owned one! Used the oven for a few jobs, but never used the dishwasher!

Like it Never had one my self but one mate had a Super Six & another a Hustler I had the dirt bikes so exchanges were common. Remember the "Rider Policy" that was available then 1970s lots of bike swapping then one insurance many bikes yours or other peoples. Too generous for today's insurance industry they want their pound of flesh. Neil

I had one of those, the Hustler. Rode it for quite a few years, crashed it , re-built front end, rode it again and eventually chopped it in for a Ducati Desmo 250, which was like sitting on a spin drier when giving it some stick. Chopped the Ducati in for a Honda CB 750 K6 single cam, which was a lovely bike to ride, if a bit sluggish by todays standards.
