Well, it appears that I should have posted here before I did anything else
Oh well, better late than never, so here's a bit about me
I'm Stu
I'm 38, I live in Cheshire and work in the computer industry
I don't ride a bike, but have done when I was younger, I even passed my test, but cold winters and the bruises when I fell off for acting the fool (did I say I was younger) left me wondering whether I was more suited to something more comfortable. Despite Jen's attempts to pursuade me to get back into biking it doesn't hold the appeal it did when I was 17.
So if I don't ride a bike what do I do? to be honest I'm a bit of a geek, I like sci fi, not quite a trekky, but where exactly do you draw the line, I'm also a big fan of Terry Pratchett's books and I enjoy cycling.
Jen has given me access to her admin log in so that I can help to keep this place running smoothly while she takes some time off. Fair enough maybe we didn't go about it the right way, but I'm not here to make enemies, to discipline 'troublesome' members or to change the way things are done around here, just to help keep the site moderated in the manner Jen and the other moderators have done for so long.
I don't know how long I will be acting as a temporary moderator, that all depends on Jen and when she feels she is ready to come back. In the meantime I expect I'm going to get to meet some interesting characters and get to see why Jen talks of you all so fondly.
