Sorry to start another thread, but I have done something pretty stupid and can't work out how to sort it out.
I went to take the seat off my Divvy 600. I placed the key in, twisted, listened for the release and then took it off as normal.
I finished doing what I was doing and placed the seat back on the frame, but didn't twist the key lock back to it's original starting place!
The seat clicked into place, but because I didn't reset the key lock, I can't get it open again. Does anyone know how to remedy this annoying situation?

Hi Tony,
The seat lock should return to its original position when the seat is replaced without you doing anything to it.
Sometimes the seats are a bit difficult to remove, sometimes it helps if you press down on the seat about where the seat catch is positioned as you turn the key.
Once you do manage to get the seat off I'd recommend lubing the cable and lock mechanisms to ensure they are all free moving to prevent further problems

Unfortunately, I don't think that is the case. The lock is now in the two o clock position and won't move at all. When i twist it, it just clicks but does nothing else.
I think I may have buggered it!

Sounds to me like you may not have actually closed it proper in the first place. Leave the key where it is and give the seat a good tug upwards from the back of it.

try pulling the cable from the underside of the side plastics with a metal coat nager hooked at the end, might just do enough to free the latch

Cheers

camera flat, so not the best picture with phone, the red arrow is the seat brace where the lock is in the centre of the brace, the cable goes from under there to the seat lock barrel, where the white dotted line is, gives you a guide as to where from under the side panel you could guide a coat hanger, if you look under the side panel andjust behind the frame you will probably see the cable, if you hook it and tug it (ooeerr missus) it may free it sorry, best I can do with phone cam in the dark shed

But dont force the key brass is quite brittle and it's quite easy to snap off the key in the lock. Then you'd have to drill out the lock, but I guess that would at least solve the issue of keys lost under seat.
