Hi guys I'm trying to get my engine out but my rear engine bolt just refuses to come out anyone had this problem before any help really appreciated as I'm getting very annoyed with it and worried i will damage my engine if i hammer it any harder i have manged to get the right side flush to the frame but it will not move any further thank you in advance

you need to hit it, then turn it using a spanner, and keep knocking it back in, use plenty of releasing agent, as its rusted in, most people have difficulty in getting it out

It may also help if you take some of the weight off the bolt; if the engine is braced slightly the friction on the bolt will be a lot lower.
Course, I could also be telling you how to suck eggs, and I apologise if I am ;D

Ok managed to get the bolt out after annoying all my neighbours but i've ruined the thread in the process where would i be able to get a replacement any ideas guys

it aint that much for a new one, I got one for the GS500 it cost £3.00 from a dealer

Bought one new £15 "ouch" yamaha more expensive than suzuki then Daft thing is, when people break them and sell all the bits, the breakers want daft money anyway, you see them selling the second hand horns for £4/£5 with £2 postage, they are only £4/£5 for a new one

£15 for a green anti-rust painted bolt. Ouch!! I'm going to need new suspension pins/bolts and needle bearings for my 900 rear suspension. If the pins work out at £45 the set, goodness knows what they'll want for bearings.
