What a cracking weekend - especially today when the sun shone on us even if it was a bit blustery at times. It was great to see such a big turn out. Many thanks to Fiasco for leading the run and also a big thank you to Chele and the others who helped with serving the breakfasts this morning.
Some great pics already posted - I'll add mine a bit later when I've sorted out what's on the camera.
Makes me look forward now to all the othe runs this year......

When Fiasco left the Dashwood he was heading home to collect his car for a trip to Oxford so he probably won't log in until a bit later.
I can report that the collection money from this morning had been left at the Dashwood - Dibber kept it safely for us behind the bar.
Also - someone left a package containing a chain guard. I remember hearing someone talking about that this morning but can't remembr who. Does anyone know who this belongs to? Fiasco took it home with him.

Many thanks to all that came along for the Postcombe run today, for me it was one of the most enjoyable yet. Many thanks to Dibber, Caz and Helen at the Dashwood for their hospitality over the weekend. Thanks also to the 365 club for allowing us to crash their bash !! Thanks also to Chele and Di (Mrs Teejay) for rolling your sleeves up and helping to get the brekkies out. Thanks to Reaper for all the work on my bike yesterday morning, we had a couple of worrying moments but he got it all together in the nick of time. Thanks to Paul (Teffort) for helping me organise the weekend and plan the route, also to Martin for a sterling back marking job. Now appologies: - Sorry to Keith and Julie for (I assume) leaving you behind at Fox's Diner, we could have sworn we had everyone Appologies also to all those I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to. As Teff says the Dashwood had the collection money, sorry Oscar that I didn't see you put it down on the table next to me. After a small donation to the Dashwood's cancer research tin, we collected £35, which will be sent to Doofer to pay towards the club web space and address. Many thanks to all that dug deep. Hope everyone got home ok, look forward to seeing you all at Derby. Dave ;D I am sure I have probably forgotton lots but at least I can come back and add stuff on this new site.

Hi All What a superb weekend. Good laugh Saturday morning watching the Paul & Dave roadshow. Cracking run to the Ace and a spirited ride back . Good night Saturday night with a good band and great company. Special thanks to Hannah who allowed me to sleep with Barbie for the night . Bit of a c**p start to today when I dropped my bike at Fi's house. After that just got betterer. Hats off to the Dashwood for sorting the breakfasts under severe pressure. And a thoroughly enjoyable route. Well done Fi, Teff and Martin. Another one done and dusted. See you all in Scotland Matt

We must have been the first home, given that we left at Fox's Diner for the 10 miles or so home. I spent the remaining daylight hours playing with my shiny new downpipes - thanks to Max & Chele for bringing them to the run. Sorry that your misfortune with your Divvy, Chele, sees my divvy benefitting . Not fully fitted yet - I kept finding hidden bits on the front of the bike which needed a good clean whilst the old pipes were off Thank you Apricot for the mirror Thank you IBS for the very useful chat Thank you Beebs for the spectacle of your 'dodgy' overtake. Where DO you find your inspiration ;D. You have clearly lifted the crown - so I'm grateful We really enjoyed ourselves backmarking - & it was great meeting up with friends old & new in between the run sections. Thanks must go to the Dashwood posse (& their ad-hoc helpers ) for the brekkies this morning. Clearly disadvantaged by recent upheavels there, nevertheless everyone pulled together to get us fed & watered. If we don't see you on the IOW Run (likely we WILL!), then it'll be Scotland then Derby. We can't wait Martin & Chris

Big, big thanks to Dave (Fiasco) and Paul (Teffort) and Martin (pickabikeatrandomM40man) for organising what was for me the best run I've yet attended. Thanks also to Chele and Di for helping out with the breakfasts, I needed some solids Big thanks also to Dibber and Caz for letting me pitch my tent for the night and serving a couple of pints of superb Guinness - I can only assume the difficulty I had walking at the end of the evening was down to tiredness Nice to meet old and new faces, (apart from Jools of course ) See some of you at the Isle of Wight meet. I have a hard act to follow after this weekend. Ady P.S. Thanks Martin for the headlight protector, more bling for 'Beryl'

First. A big thanks to Dave and Co for putting on a 2 fantastic runs.
Second. An even bigger thanks to Dave and Julie for putting us up for the night.
Third. Thanks to Matt and Roger for showing us the twisty way home. Much better than the Mway and not that much slower.
Fourth. Thanks to Roger for the Tea & Toilet stop at your house. (hope we didn't get you into bother by dropping in at T time)
Fifth. Thanks to the guys at the Dashwood for their hospitality.
What a week end, Great but cold run down the A444/A5/A413 on Saturday. Cracking run down to the Ace, although it got a tad damp at one point. Good night at the Dashwood on Saturday. Cracking run on the Sunday although it nearly all ended in tears when that BeeMer pulled out on us. Cracking run home. New bike performed like a good'n, and is now well and truly run in. (Best way to run a bike in)
Now the run season as truly started.
Hope to see you all again soon
Dave and Carol.

Got home at around 6 but had to list to SWMBO's weekend so after falling asleep I am now able to relay my thanks.
1) Dave, Paul and Martin for arranging the weekends routes/Entertainment. 2) Dibber and Caz et al for services rendered under pressure. 3) To all who helped at the Dashwood on Sunday morning breakie. 4) TJ for arranging the Taxi from Buckingham travel lodge. 5) To JJ for just being JJ 6) My wife and kids and all who know me.
Apricot how did the sat nav work on your ride home? Also Dibbers comment about drinking enough to float a ship was well appreciated by all who heared it.
I still wonder about what planet that lady driver in the VW Golf at the humpback bridge was on holding her mobile to her hear and totally ingnoring my honked warnings.

"Apricot how did the sat nav work on your ride home?"Well I didn't get lost, but chose the 'shortest route' option instead of 'quickest route' on the GPS. I got led through some beautiful villages and back roads nearly all the way back. Roads were almost empty too. Sun shining and a gentle pootle through the countryside, a great finish to the weekend. Anyone coming down to the Isle of Wight meet from Fox's area may consider the same route, it was stunning whereas the standard quick route is nearly all dual carriageway/motorway. Map on following link - (400k+ so Broadband recommended) i165.photobucket.com/albums/u56/apricotIOW/MyRouteBackFromFoxesDiner.jpgAdy
