Wheel back on this morning with new boot to be scrubbed in, back brake serviced, satnav Ram mount fitted, sun still shining, so off to Arrochar on the mad road the attendees of the very first Jock weekend may remember, Faslane submarine base to Arrochar. Arrived at the bikers coffee stop, Tunnocks wafers had to be tested too. And that is snow in the back ground ;D Fellow biker on a Bandit 1200 stopped too and we shot the breeze for half an hour before the run home the very long way round. All in all a grand day. Made up for Sunday

Good to see you're back in black.
Ahhh Tunnocks caramel wafers.
Brings back memories of the day I had a meeting with the health & safety manager at the Tunnocks factory in Uddingston. At the end of the meeting he said " Would you like some biscuits ?".
Is the Pope a catholic, I thought to myself ? 5 Minutes later I depart the premises with a bloody great box of caramel wafers.
Ah the good old days.

Ah the good old days. I used to visit the Mars factory in Slough, they used to give you a big bag of mixed choccies on the way out. Makes me wonder how I have kept my silth like figure !! Good to see you back out enjoying yerself Gordy, nothing worse than a bike on a recovery truck Dave ;D

[ i]I used to visit the Mars factory in Slough, they used to give you a big bag of mixed choccies on the way out. [/i][/color] In 1976/77 I worked as a contracted Mechanical Fitter at Mars in Slough. putting the new (then) Twix Bar line in. There were large drums of sweeties all over the place. You just helped yourself. They knew that after a couple of days of that you were sick of the sight of them. And you were! I never kept my silth-like figure!

Man that's an amazing photo. The south of England is carp. :-(
Mind you, we are all rich in the south and the women here don't have aids so it's not all bad.

PS, it's not a Bandit it's a Land Rover.
A lot of people make that mistake.

You traitorous ferret-lover ! The south is the finest place in the world..... sat up on the Hog's Back on a summer evening.... and not a trace of gyppo scotch wafery things, just a poly cup full of gritty cockles and watery vinegar.. what more could a chap wish for ?

To be fair L and I went up Wolstonbury Hill on Monday night to enjoy the extra hour of sunshine with a packed lunch. The view was pretty special.
