Hi , welcome, you are in the right place here with a wealth of Yammy and other experts. I have an XJ 600 however nought is interchangeable with the Divvy 600, I am given to understand ,so please be aware of this before buying off say Fleabay, which admittedly otherwise is a great source of bike parts.

Hello All, the names Daz and I'm a Lancashire lad born and bred. Just got my hand on a 97 XJ900s that's just tripped over 60k miles. And I'm beginning to love the thing Picture to follow. My usual ride is a GSX1157, but that's in the unit having a much needed rebuild, I need to get to work, I'm a CNC Programmer/Machinist by trade, hence the XJ coming to Me.

The name came to me one day after a long hot day on the bike, while getting changed at a mates house, getting ready for a night out, I wanted a quick shower, as I was just about to say "...I need to wash my..." I was gunna say My "sweaty bollox", but his girlfriend walked in and I quickly changed it to "...I need to wash my Betty Swolloks" Not wanting to swear in the presence of a lady and all that!

So here's a long shot. I've just met a lady from Sydney who is flying back on the 16th Jan. Not impossible that she could bring one back and send it to you. No promises 'cos I've not asked her. PM me if you are interested.
All the best
Andy

Newbie here from Cardiff
I traded up from a 93 XJR 400 to a 96 Diversion 900 with full luggage over the past weekend. Had a great first ride if a little cold and foggy. Getting used to the weight and wave of torque. Roll on the spring.
Cheers

Thanks folks, have found one on cd so it's on it's way, once I figure out how to navigate this site (I'm a slow old fart) I'll start posting & asking You shouldn't have many problems. Diversions are pretty rugged, and all the pipes are on the outside. If something doesn't work, Level 1 Basic = hit it. If it still doesn't work, Level 2 Advanced = try a bigger hammer or some cable clips. If it still doesn't work, Level 3 Grand Master = have a cup of tea and a serious think about whether it might be perfectly possible to ride without that particular thing working. Finally, if all else fails, post a question and several people will make smartass comments and then Martin will come along and answer your questions.

...it will make way for my new d900 shed. Is that a shiny D900 you keep in a shed, or a D900 that is a shed ? Either way, welcome Jim . I've bought a £350 d900 and it is a total shed of a bike. I can however sit on it comfortably unlike the more committed riding position on the gsxr. So far I've had some oil hoses made up to replace the leaking original ones, plugs, oil and filter. Fixed the lights and stripped all the brake callipers so they should work now. Currently dismantling the forms to replace the oil, oil seals and dust seals. New battery and rear pads then of to the MOT man.

Hi & welcome. Bike looks good. How much work have you done to it? Total stripdown and repaint? What was the engine like? Craig on here is trying to decide whether to fettle a D9. Take a look under "Home" then rebuilds and resurrections. Btw - bet that ride home was challenging.

ok. Thanks for the info. What is the problem with carbs? A lot of problems with carbs on any bike is down to bike standing for long periods with modern petrol in them. Atb
