CMC café doesn't open until 10.00 on Sundays and may be quite busy being 2 stroke event so if you wanted to get breakfast there are plenty of places in and around Chesterfield and its an easy run down the A61 to Clay Cross. If you like Wetherspoons there is a place called the Portland Hotel in the town centre which I think opens at 7.00. If you need any more info or help let us know and we will try to sort it out.

Hi all am sending this from the Ibis @north Chesterfield.
I was glad I woosed out and decided to use the car, having spent yesterday afternoon after a ride repairing the front light which had a broken fitting when bought and the way I thought fixed would hold, didn't. So with some deft soldering I fitted a Fox Eye unit originally destined for something else remaining in the shed. Put the original exhausts which I got with the bike , as the special cans looked and sounded great however I like it with the originals and she still sounds good? Also tightened the chain and found how easy the seat comes when you know how, as the battery was flat after the light fixing.
The frustrations of doing a similar amount of work on the Aprilia Scooter, time wise, which still stalls when warm, were reversed and I enjoyed my labours.
Mind you couldn't move for my joints stiffening and reburnt my bald patch but was looking forward to a ride out.
However I awake very early this morning feeling quite the opposite, still wanted to participate but not on two wheels. the tank bag was not gonna take much stuff, and as part of the trip was on the M1, I have to admit to have lost confidence apropo long rides.
So was still wide awake after trying to get some more Zds , had a cooked breakfast, watched a recorded More Guitar heroes at the BBC , chucked my stuff in the old faithful Viva went and got some fuel at Asda, and snacks, and was up in Grantham about 10.30, in a Sainsburys.
It had been a lovely sunny morning but dark clouds were scudding and the heavens opened , sorry to say however some showers were torrential. I had some personal business to see to in Radcliffe upon Trent , that done headed for Derby as I had some idea of visiting the Wheatcraft collection @ Castle Donninghton however More downpours and was in the wrong lane for the ring road and so kept going then stopped in a layby on the A38 thus fed and watered, arrived even tho I realised there is an Ibis in Chesterfield South, but it's not that far.
Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow and let's hope the Sun will be back out .

Have a great day today everyone . Wish I was there, but later today I'll be 340 miles south of you, for a few days away in Cornwall.
