To celebrate my 70'th year I'm proposing to head west and north probably in late September/early Ocober. The rough plan is to head to the Applecross Road via the usual scenic routes, Glen Coe, Commando Memorial, Loch Cluanie, Loch Carron, Applecross, Shieldaig, Torridon, Loch Maree, Gairloch, Ullapool, Durness, Tongue, Bettyhill, maybe Dunnet Head and John o' Groats. I haven't planned the afternoon yet If anybody's interested feel free to join in the discussion. The date will have to be after the 18th obviously

Good we'll know who to blame if it all goes pear shaped and there's a yes vote. I sincerely hope I don't get the chance to say told you so.

(End of message, need to be careful not to offend admin ) It's true then, poor old m40man can't speak but for it being considered the word of admin (. The Admin dude hardly ever posts on here .) But not to worry about this thread. It's about local current politics directly affecting contributors [1] so I expect it couldn't earn itself the description of "odd" . [1] At least one of whom, at least in terms of expended shoe leather.

Its very tempting and to revisit some of a previous Jock run and more. Right need to do some planning and talk to the treasurer.

Gordy's Grand Tour will be great, but an alternative title could be The ND Birthday Bash, as Gordy and Alan have birthdays around this time, and so do I! Charlie

I am very very tempted, especially as by then my mobylette should be back on the road, Yes I can see it now another adventure looms, heading yonder into the wilderness, man and machine as one!

With bro and the flatbed close behind Van will be fine, actually I could pedal it home, Actually that might reduce the fuel bill considerably, Wonder if I can fit a Shimano de railier, Man, tweed suit and a happy smile, as I pfft pfft pfft into the sunset, Of course shouting Gordy don't leave me please don't leave me, leave the union but not me pleeeaaaasssseeeee!

....actually I could pedal it home, That I'd pay to see You sure? Pedaling seems to double the power, call it turbo boost or bar steward after half a mile No need for Volvo in attendance Fjr will do for towing, brakes may be a little lacking though!

Mobylette, ye gods, what's the range on them. Seeing one of them on the Applecross road would be amazing. Two of us would have to ride shotgun in case you got blown away

Is this definite then Gordy, cos I think it's starting to cause some confusion.
Perhaps this thread needs moving to Runs and Meets till you have a definitive date to post?
