Could be a break or short to pump & when you stop it rectifies its self. Neil

I finally found out what's causing the bike to hold back!
my front brake calipers are slightly binding when hot, its not locking up completely and i can move the wheel by hand, i striped down the calipers, cleaned up the pistons and put new seals, put everything back together and bled the system, i took it for a 10 minute run and problem is still with me, does anyone know what's causing it??

When you say "the problem is still with me" - do you mean that the brake starts binding again, or that the "holding back" comes on again even though the brake is free?
How much of a "holding back" sensation are you getting? If the brake binding is enough to make the bike feel like it's losing a noticeable amount of power then I'd expect the binding to be pretty damn tight (and bloddy hot too) - yet you say you can move the wheel by hand, and earlier on you said the bike moved freely enough when you stopped during an episode of "holding back".

Yes i still have the brake problem, its a lot worse if i need to use the brakes a lot, they get hot and dont wont release fully until they have cooled again, im going to take off the master cylinder tonight and strip that down to see if there is any blockage

and a thorough flush through and a very thorough bleed*. If there's any air in the caliper then as soon as it gets hot the air expands and puts the brakes on - which get hotter and worsen the situation etc etc.
*I bleed my front caliper with it off the bike so I can shake it, hit it, and generally be more confident of getting it in the right position to get any bubbles out through the bleed nipple.
Good luck with the master.

Taking them of to one side is a good idea, what i did to get passed any problems with air bubbles was to reverse bleed the caliper with a syringe

Iv now cleaned out the master cylinder and the calipers, the calipers are perfect and i can now push the pistons in with my bare hands, took the bike for a run and its better but the brakes are still binding?

Each time you use the front brake, just lean down and push the pistons back with your hand - simples.

Might seem a stupid question but have you done the same for the back brake ?

I have the same problem, have taken the calipers off and cleaned sliders four times and they still stay on.. the caphead pin at the bottom? is it supposed to be a tight fit in the rubber seal..? the top one is clean and free, the bottom rubber feels like it has swollen and holding the pin in .. will take them off again and try to get them sliding easier... and I used our vacuum sealing machine to pull a vac on a jar with a pipe attached to the bleed nipple works excellent but need to keep an eye on the level as it pulls lots of fluid out in no time at all.. will post a pic later
