See you in Blairgowrie then, we're heading more northerly past Moffat (rekindle some fond memories ), before heading over to Blairgowrie.

The Lady Carol & Meself are leaving Wirral about 9:00 on Friday and (probably) enduring a boring motorway run to beyond Glasgow. May meet others at Red Rooster or Carlisle area - we'll watch the plans firm up between now and then

Beast and I are planning to meet up and travel together up to the Red Rooster to tie in with the amigos.
We're just cogitating re the M6 - he says it was chocker last time he went up on spring bank hol with miles and miles of unpleasant filtering - but the alternative of the A6 is a lot more time. Might try the M61 - gives the hop off to the A6 option.

The A708 down towards Moffat fromSt Marys Loch is the best road I ever came across for repeatedly getting airborne - it just keeps on going over these humps. I drove down there in my Saab 9000 in about 1987 - got it in the air 13 times.

It's alright if you want to do it for fun, but it's hard work if you don't want to.

I might be able to ride up on the friday afternoon ...leaving around the 4pm mark....Im about an hour and a half journey away ....Id need to head back around 8pm and ride back up in the morning thou so if the weathers carp I may hold off until Saturday.....I read the meeting place is the Ericht Alehouse on the Friday but not sure of times....maybe the starting place for Saturday's run could be the same place? Today Im getting my asre in gear and changing the back tyre , rear shock and some of the plastics ...shoulda been done weeks ago... Wont be able to head up on the Friday night as I wont be finished work until 10pm....so I will be heading up early bells on Saturday morning .....could have been worse as the newly revised oncall rota was emailed yesterday afternoon putting me in the chair from last night until Monday 27th.. ...thankfully thats been sorted out and Im now on from the 27th... ;D
