I take my hat off to you guys.... thats one hell of a photo !!! I don't think they deserve the respect you have given them I think it was a foolhardy escapade that could have ended in tears. Fortunately Martin saw the error of his ways & decided to come home rather than bunk up with Trev Neil

Finally home at about 2pm today* after being treated to brekkie by Pops Not a lot more to add on what's been already posted, 'cept to say thankyou to Martin and Andy for the company up yesterday, have to admit I did question my sanity a time or two . Sorry for missing seeing, Brian, John and Ken? with the late arrival at MaccaD's but again a thankyou to George for the twisty/bumpy bit to Pops. As ever the Pops household came up trumps in the hosting department you and the Mr's are stars Keith. Ginfers crossed you can soon get some miles on the bike under your belt and get your mojo back in time for the JR. *bike washed and dried now of course

Fortunately Martin saw the error of his ways & decided to come home rather than bunk up with Trev Neil I think it only prudent to point out there were tears. 3 times. Firstly, flymo, when he didn't get into Macdonalds due to time constraints. Secondly, when Pops witnessed Martin "mending" his Suzuki with two hefty hammers. Lastly, when Trev realized Martin was spurning his company for the night!

Sounds like you had a good day, having been laid low with a nasty stomach upset since Thursday I couldn't comit to the trip However by 1330 on Monday I was feeling well enough to go for a ride, Matt and I popped over to Bakewell for a pudding and had a good pair of hours out. Glad that the intrepid group all got home safely.

500 miles – Respect
I rode the couple of miles to McDonalds, had a brew and bimbled home again. Sorry I didn’t meet more of you. But I am sure there will be another chance (when it’s warmer)

Sorry I didn’t meet more of you. But I am sure there will be another chance (when it’s warmer) Ken It was Trev's fault - but you're right, chances aplenty when the sun shines in the glorious summer we're due .

Not as hard as we did when Martin was 2@tting seven bells out of the V-Strom forks with two of the retaining bolts in the bottom clamp not undone Another for the M40Man book of maintenance boo-boos then ;D well, perhaps , it took the chap working on the LHS of the bike, checking those bolts, an awfully long time to pipe-up. And the other one actually handed me the bigger hammer & told me to put my back into it . I think only George escapes criticism - well, he couldn't get in to help much, with us three wise monkeys occupying the space ;D. Pops was truly blessed . .............. why not ask Trev about the experiment with getting the bike to stand up with just the front wheel chocked, which to a man the rest of us said wouldn't work ?

I'm gonna say it ............. I'm glad Trev stopped over & drank all your booze . I did feel a tad guilty when the ol' boy had to find his way to the shed in the dark for the reserves
