Wishing to promote inclusivity, do the North of the border members have an interest in a soirée?
My thoughts that a Central Belt venue with a 1pm start time might be of interest.
Or how about meeting at the nearest pub to Queen St station, ie Sammy Dows.
What say ye?

If we are having an early start, should this be a Matinee rather than a Soiree? Charlie

If we are having an early start, should this be a Matinee rather than a Soiree? Charlie It's now a Beano, The Oxford English Dictionary definition of a beano is "a merry time or spree". The word beano being derived from beanfeast, an annual celebration or party which originally included a meal of beans and bacon.
Enormous quantities of beer and sandwiches were provided, and there was much frolicking, singing and drunkenness.Sounds like my kind of function ;D Sandwiches can be traded for more beer

Lots of posts - no suggested dates? The workers have to advise their availability. Lots of peeps work funny schedules now. Mid January might be a plan.

I'm off now until Jan 3rd. My birthday is early Jan; Fiona's in late Jan; I've been invited to a surprise 30th birthday bash mid Jan. So between Xmas and New Year would likely suit me better.
