not that im aware of the D6 was never intended to be a sports bike with sophisticated bits it was a budget bike made to be simple to use and work on ,,, what makes you think yours might have it?

dunno sometimes when im running through the gears and if i try to throttle it and it gets to sort of 6k revs it sorta feels like a power band thats if i throttle it sorta just jumps in an goes 6-7-8 reall quick if i ride normally building the revs up it dont do it ??

or im wrong and its the clutch slipping at high revs making the bike rev a little bit more and then im thinking wow its goin faster but actually not and it cant keep up with the engine or something like that

Wot e said, I thought YPVS was only on 2strokes. Not having had a d600 I dont know but maybe that is where the peak power comes most bikes have uneven power through the revs some the high is low & some the low is high & some times it is in the middle & some time the porridge is just right ;D Neil

NAW. .there is definately a bit of a power surge after 7000rpm, ;)thats when the 600 is most fun... ;D unfortunately most seem not to use this bit of the rev range often enough

I once had a Kawasaki Z400 with all of 38bhp so a similar tune to the D6. That also picked up its skirts between 7K and 9K.
