Hi all,
Recently bought the new Diversion F ABS. Has anyone got any experience of an after-market touring/flip/spoiler screen for this one or give any advice/recommendations of one that is very good? Up to 75-80mph, the wind buffeting isn't too bad, but much beyond that it really becomes unbearable.
Any thoughts, much appreciated.

I've never been happy with flip screens on any bike. The best ones curve back towards the rider (like a CBR) rather than flip up like a Beemer GS.
My Brother recently bought a Guzzi Breva with Guzzi branded screen (probably a Givi). It was A too tall, B too steep angle Cnd B has a flip top. Its had to come off because above 60mph it was rattling his teeth loose.

Sorry, can't offer any practical advice, other than to second CD's comments about flips being a flipping waste of time/space/money.
Reading other posts, it looks like the Vario screen principle (with a separate adjustable upper section) seems to work effectively.
I've got a FZ6 which has a similar screen to the Diversion, and I've left it standard, because I'd rather have my head in the breeze than have it buffetted* by turbulence. It was OK on the Nurburgring up to well over the ton, though admittedly not cruising continuously at that speed.
But I do use a helmet that's relatively quiet and stable. So I'll ask a silly-sounding question - what sort of lid are you using?
*No relation to Warren, or the stock markets in general, since you ask.

Thanks for the comments.
bobh, I've seen the Vario but apart from it looking bloody awful I can't find one for the 'F' model. Those flip tops do look like they are only going to flap around at speed. I think I just want something a little bit taller. My shoulders are barely taking anything, but saying that I don't want to lose that if I change the screen! What are the double bubble screens like? Or are they only if you're pretty much lying on the tank?!
I'm wearing a Shoei XR-1100. They actually say it has "wind deflectors" on it! Not sure about that . . .
Neilmud, of course I would never go about 70mph on a public road.

Have found a clip on vario to use with existing screen. Maybe I'll try that, £110 is quite steep though!

I chanced my arm on a Vario and lost the arm (with the leg coming close).
They are very expensive and the Diversion version has a flip top which buffets the rider's head above 50. The spoiler goes from slat against the screen to vertical like a barn door making the turbulence from bad to unrideable.
I chopped about 60mm off the top of the Vario but it still had some flip. I made new legs for the spoiler to get a sensible angle, but it was still noisy and head bashing. Side winds being the worst of all. The old spoiler legs/links soon fell apart anyway.
I still have it on the bike but its now upside down on top of a cut down standard Divvie screen. Its mounted on brackets so I can adjust the angle. The flip now works like a scoop feeding air into the dead space behind the screen. The bottom edge (now the top) curves back towards the rider so gives a smoother air flow.
Its still noisy and motorway buffeting is a problem but doesnt look like too much of a bodge. Its certainly way better than either screen was from the factory.
I made the best of what I had but seriously don't waste money on a Vario for any of the Diversions

Thanks a lot, very helpful post.
I am going to take a chance with the double bubble, not expecting a huge difference but found one for 35 quid on eBay. Even if it makes a slight difference I'll be happy.

If its flipped brace yourself for disappointment. If its flat or curved back it might be just the job.
