Help! I've got a 1998 600s. Overnight and for no obvious reason when I turn the ignition on I get the neutral light, when I press the starter button I get a brightly glowing oil light plus the neutral light but absolutely no starter motor. All the lights, horn etc work fine. I drained the oil for the 2nd time in 2 weeks and its milky white. Is it possible that the oil has gunged up the oil sender unit or should I be looking for something else? Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Thanks for looking. Steve.

Problem solved. After spending the afternoon fault finding and not finding the fault I hit upon the solution, literally. As darkness fell, out of sheer frustration l hit the frame and end of the relay box with the edge of my hand. Two results. 1. I hurt my hand. 2. The starter burst into life. Bike's running! Steve
