Hi I've done a wee search of the site and found you can replace a 1998 600's rear caliper with a thundercat one ? is there a particular year of cat I need to look for ? and are there any other one's that can be used ? this is just incase the present one which is a load of c**p with one bleed nipple mangled the other I'm sure will break off so I've got a banjo bleed bolt to try > So if this doesn't work any one with spare ( workin ) calipers they want to sell please feel free to contact me cheers

I believe it does but the 600 version is very similar. I've wondered about fitting a front blue spot to the back wheel not so much to increase the braking power - they just seem to be more reliable. But its not a straight swap and eBay seems to realize how good they are so bargains are few & far between.

I have a thunder cat rear caliper on my D600 and it works a treat. Had to swap around the fitting a little but it got in there in the end oh I also (Later) swapped to s braided hose and it's so much better.
I got the idea from another thread on here actually.

Take out the pistons and soak the calliper into a bucket of diesel for at least 2 weeks. Even better use biodiesel as its a great solvent. BTW, Aldi were recently selling an ultrasonic cleaning bath. It might be big enough to shake solvent into the nooks & crannies
