Knobblies and rain? like I said, good luck Fool - Fiasco has already stated an interest in having a go on the Tranny, so I get to ride a TDM with grippy road tyres .

Two new tyres fitted to the Tranny this morning, to reassure my safety-conscious conspirators for this coming Sunday's practice run. The Tourances on the Tenere have done 8,000-miles, and the rear is squared off and almost down to the TWIs. So if it gets seriously slippy I'll find an alternative route, ta. Or fit snow chains?

My Flu is now but a mere cold Plus I have managed to borrow the sailing clubs ice making machine and have strapped it on my Divvy It will be adding to the authentic accuracy of this practice run ;D And no one will dare overtake me therefore I might be able to keep up ;D ;D See you all tomorrow

... See you all tomorrow Now, now, young fella - posting messages at late-o'clock doesn't bode well for a keen start in the morning, now does it ? We missed you your ice making machine - no ice & no raid today, a most enjoyable practice was enjoyed by me, Fiasco & BobH - with a breakfast meeting by sledgegreen (John) to boot . Thanks fellas for the run, I'll sort out a better pitstop for Fern as she may not appreciate our chosen spot, should the morning coffee press for a break before the lunch stop .

Thanks to Martin and Bob for a nice day of "fresh" riding, was also fun broadening my horizons to ridding the "Tranny" and Bob's Tenere Nice to meet John (Sledgreen) at the breakfast stop too. Great to have an opportunity for a bimble before Christmas, it's been too long Hope the runsters on the day will be equally lucky with it staying dry and frost free Cheers Dave

I would have really enjoyed coming on this run. The night before I even chose to drink soft drinks in the pub rather than a few pints. However I simply could not sleep at all overnight Falling asleep at 7am and waking at after 9am ish txting Martin and then sleeping till 1pm Glad the ones who made it had a good run

Yes, at least find a hedge with some leaves on it And setting up a brambly booby trap to catch the unwary was a bit mean, as well But a great ride, and thanks to Fi for letting me warm my hands on his heated grips - shame it didn't happen before the mid-morning break

Are they still working? Yep, they are not Roxter :-) Yes - it was nice to swap bikes & have grips with a working controller. The manual plug/unplug of my Roxter grips seemed an archaic process by comparison .

Cheers guys - the pleasure was all mine.
Breakfast in Oxfordshire, then a few pressies for myself at the shop next door, followed by a meander back to Worcester via Xmas shopping in Stow and maths homework with my niece. A good day out.
Will see you again in a couple of weeks for the real thing, hopefully Divvy-mounted.

No - but I shall. Ta for the reminder . They are very helpful and because they are not far from me...they are very nice too 25 miles away from you. I'm 4 times further away from you. Is the closeness/niceness a linear thing, or exponential? I'm trying to work out if I'm 'pleasant enough' or a 'total git'

Yes, at least find a hedge with some leaves on it And setting up a brambly booby trap to catch the unwary was a bit mean, as well All sorted, no need to worry about inadequate cover or prickly bushes: ...... note, bring your 10p's, though I suspect more of this holding the door for one another, as happened on a previous Jan Jolly. You fella's make ME look tight !
