600 revving high when hot

I have a 1993 600s ,runs ok,not overly powerful but used to big v twins.
after doing about 10 miles, the revs at tickover go high and stay ther.
a qiuck fiddle with throttle idle stop and it seems to go away.

Is this a trait for this model and a known problem/fix.

I dont think its cables becuas eits ok when cold.
starts ok and runs evenly??
