Just had a look at some of the threads on here about strange noises coming from the gearbox, however mine has only been playing up last two days and has only done it twice but would like a good idea of what could be the cause.
The problem happens when I have approached a roundabout and have been slowing down and changing through the gears, a loud whirring sound starts and vibrates through the bike. Only happens when the clutch lever is pulled in.
Any ideas? Clutch release bearing?
Thank you

Chain doesn't seem to be too loose but I will check to make sure it doesn't need adjusting. With regards to the sprockets am I checking for wear?

Check for stretched and seized links, check the sprockets for hooking.

Check for stretched and seized links, check the sprockets for hooking. Right! Okay I know what I am looking for now. Thanks for that.
