Yep; that one is in the diary. Last visit to Greenock was quite an event (and who would have ever thought that about GREENOCK ;D). I only recently found their website and registered myself for voluntary work during the visit. Not quite sure what I might have volunteered for; but maybe too late anyway .

Saw the tall ships in Liverpool a few years back, a great day out and we were allowed on board most of them.

I think they're still looking for people. Do you know any houses in Greenock of ill repute who would give shelter to a DBS?

Do you know any houses in Greenock of ill repute who would give shelter to a DBS? If you've got an Aston Martin then you're more than welcome to stay here! ;D. Just leave the keys lying about . Wot's a DBS, really? Anything to do with a drunken sailor .

A pretty wee ship Gordy! Do you get a sail, and if you do, will you be going aloft? I like the official Tall Ships site. The angles the photographer used make Greenock look quite nice. A few of us know better! :DLooking forward to this! Charlie

Distressed British Seaman ie, you'd had a run ashore, blown your dosh on wine wimmin and song, and wasted the rest, needed assistance to find your ship because you probably weren't seeing straight, so the local polis had you detained so you were referred to as DBS, seemples. If it never happened to you when you were a sailor, you weren't trying hard enough
