First off............ When you say

HOW DO YOU GET THE GAUGE TO WORK PROPERLY

perhaps it would be a little more helpful if you were a bit more specific as to the fault. i.e. does it read "full" for the first hundred miles or so and then shoot down to empty during the next 50?? If so, that is just how they work.

Or........ Does it work randomly? If so; probably the sender unit inside the tank that's at fault. If you can't live with it, a new sender unit WAS about £70 when I replaced one a good few years ago.

Secondly........... What site have you been reading?

Lastly........... It is well known internet etiquette that using CAPITAL LETTERS is the same as SHOUTING!! So hows about you turn off your CAPS LOCK key.... It's on the left side of your keyboard and clearly marked.

well everyone i suppose i must firstly say sorry for upsetting you all with my caps lock and remarks about facebook ect i use caps lock cos my eyesight is bad maybe thats why im so fast through bends cos i dont see them till last second!!!!hope im forgiven.
anyway fuel gauge prob if i fill up it show full but after a few miles if i brake hardish guage goes down yes i know thats fuel surge but it does not return back it is just erratic its the second 900 ive had the first one didnt work at all but i would like to get this sorted
