Sounds like you might have an airlock, i have found that the easiest and quite quick way of bleeding the brakes, especially after a full strip down so full of air, it to attach a good lenght of CLEAR tubing to the bleed nipple crack it open and keeping an eye on the level of fluid in the resovoir give that tube a good sucking, when you start to get fluid in the tube suck more gently and you should see some bubbles too, when bubble stop, lock off the nipple and switch to the other one, once you've done that, bleed as normal till you get no more bubbles.

HTH Flymo So that's what you were up to with Martin t'other night ? Another handy tip, is to take the rear caliper off and mount it higher up*, airlock will come out easier if it's all uphill. *Advisory, please don't forget to re-attach rear caliper properly afterwards.

HTH Flymo That and/or you have knackered rear master cylinder seals.
