Replacing air filter Box.

I have got trouble with my air filter box it does not fit on to my carbs the diameter for box and carbs are the same. Has anyone ever fitter cone filters to each carb and get rid of the box ?? Does this work and how does it ride.
Otherwise ho come the box wont fit on to my carbs??

Unusual, I take it the screws are undone enough? Could try a wee bit of fairy liquid around the lip

It should fit, they can be a bit of a bngger to get on though. Spray some silicon spray, or Mr Sheen polish, around the holes on the air filter box, helps 'em to slide on a bit better.
