just bought a very low mileage divvy and it has bad clutch rattle which goes away when clutch engaged. As bike has only done 8K miles is this the dreaded death rattle worn pin or another? on drive at low speeds sounds clunky. have checked final drive etc seems ok answers please .ps my SR doesnt have this problem ( its got its own)

Do a search matey. With 8k miles it will have spent a fair amount of time not being used, so could well be the release bearing.

Have changed thrust beariing and today, modified pin on oil drive as per recommended "death rattle"- result - same! there were 2 things I noticed. 1. thruster on clutch basket- underneath- on mine this is castellated- once fitted, it does not fit on splines but rattles around against basket. 2. clutch actuating rod rattles in clutch front plate. I wonder if anyone has tried different thrusters on these two? Advice
