If its any consolation, i bought a beautiful jacket from Monsoon just before christmas. I am ashamed to say it cost me nearly £100 (dont tell my other half though as he thought it cost me a tenner ). I couldnt beleive that it was reduced after christmas by £30!!! I am even more ashamed to admit, ive never had the oportunity to wear it.

In the late nineties I brought Debs a long coat for Christmas. Cost £120. She was really happy with it. It was then reduced to £40 in the sale. I took it back to the shop on the 27th. Told them my wife didn't like the coat and got my money back. Then went up to the rack, picked up an identical coat, paid my 40 quid and left. Still remember the look on the saleswomans face

I got a quote for our last trip to South Africa on South African Airways (SAA) for direct night flights from Heathrow to Cape Town.
Previous year they had cost £2500 and this time their website quoted £3500 !
Ended up booking Air Namibia with a stop over in Windhoek for £2200.
Went back on SAA site next night and the direct price was £2500 !
Couldn't change the flights, but turned out ok as we had a cracking day in Namibia.

Mags and I went to Noo York all arranged on the net. Hotel, (Expedia recommended) Turned out to be a glorified knocking shop. Very entertaining, better than the USA telly.

I know what you mean; I booked a crossing on the chunnel for £72.00 return for me and me bike. 5 minutes later when I booked another it had gone up by a tenner, exactly the same date and time. Fortunatley it didn't go up anymore for the next 4 I booked.
