When I told my daughter Cloe age 5 about the sunken village, she said "Dad did someone leave the plug in?" Kids they are priceless.

The Timmelsjoch Ascent, not as technical as the Stelvio Pass Ascent, a smoother climb.... And now for the best bit......Timmelsjoch Descent Parts 1 & 2 (full descent, no cuts)...and no pillion this time Part 1 Part 2 There may be a couple more to come, but I think you get the idea of what excellent riding we had. Thanks again to Mac, Debs, Ian, Babs and Lee for making it the trip of a lifetime.

brilliant Vids.. Neil, you didn't seem to be travelling 'that' fast, yet you overtook everything!! Is the vid a bit deceptive?? and did you leave your mates behind, or where you leading? Also your bike seems to have a very 'clunky' gear change, and sounds like it's miss firing on a couple of cyclinders

brilliant Vids..Neil, you didn't seem to be travelling 'that' fast, yet you overtook everything!! Is the vid a bit deceptive?? It's a bit deceptive - you don't appreciate the steepness of the climbs / descents on the vids - I think the bit on the Stelvio Ascent when the coach meets the cement mixer highlights this - when you see what an angle the coach is at when I wheel the bike backwards. Bike compared to bike speed is entirely relative of course Mac & I shared the lead.... It's difficult to leave your mates behind on a single road pass - they can't get lost. And besides checking for bikes directly behind or around you, all of your concentration is to the front Ha ha, yes it's missing on a couple of cylinders...... Where the camera is mounted, it's in still air and tends to pick up all the mechanical noise not the sound from the exhaust. It sounds a little cluncky I admit, but still light and positive all the same. It's a shame really as the Guzzi Music sounded fantastic in the tunnels. Beats wind noise though I guess? Thanks for the comment Roger.

Looking at all the photos I can hardly find more than a couple of me smiling, I know I had a stinker of a cold, and quite a bad bleeding/infected nose for most of it, but I did have a genuinely great time, despite my erm.......... misfortunes. Well at least I kept you all on your toes (Wondering what would befall me next lol!). Many thanks to the 5 of you for giving me some excellent memories to look back on, and a big thanks to Mac for making the event happen, and all the planning that this must have involved. I just hope I didn't come across as being as miserable as I look in some of the photos ;-)

Thanks for the comments. This is the camera that I used - 16Gb Class 4 SD card gave 2 hours recording in 720i HD. Medion Life S47000 ThreadI had a RAM mount ball mounted in the centre of the steering yolk for the GPS, so I removed the GPS, replace with a long RAM mount arm together with a ball that has a standard camera mount thread on to mount the camera. It then is adjusted to be in still air behind the screen. Cheap, but works ok. Typical Yorkshireman eh? ;D

I was always a bit disappointed that I didn't get more of the Ofenpass on camera, so as a reminder to those that did it - here's some footage done by somebody else on YouTube. It overlaps the section I captured and then carries on...........
Looking at the weather, it could almost have been the same day ;D
