Just about to fit a Motad Nexxus exhaust to my 600 divvy. Is there any noticeable difference in performance and fuel consumption over the standard exhaust system.

No
Dont forget to dig out the old gaskets in each exhaust port.

Apparently a ford fiesta sump plug fits and means you can get at it, which you can't otherwise?

Thanks for the tip amorti. Motad on and purring away nicely. Took the centre stand off cos the bar sticking out that you put your foot on looked awful.

You could get one of those swing arm mounted paddock stands. There's a guy down my way who parks his bike on the street locked onto his paddock stand. A good theft deterrent methinks.

I had one and I sold it a couple of months along with 4 gauge carb balancer, 90 degree mixture screw adjuster driver and most of my bike gear cos I thought I was finished with biking after 3 years without a bike. But look on the bright side I have a 3ton jack that will lift the divvys rear up.

You will miss having a centre stand. My remus system kept the stopper on the link pipe, which was handy. Couldn't you have bodged up some sort of bracket off the RHS footpegs?
Meh, your call, but you will miss it.

What discouraged me from keeping the centre stand was the bit that sticks out on the left where you put your foot on to raise the bike. I thought it looked daft and ugly. If I was keeping it on I would have made a bracket as you suggested.

What year fiesta sump plug is required, I have the same access issue to the sump plug after fitting an exhaust fro Sandy Spares?

I had a Motad pipe on my old Divi and it came with a stainless steel L shaped bracket. This bolted to the bike and the centerstand rested against it. It wasn't glamorous but it replaced the centerstand stopper on the exhaust pipe that is no longer there. When I sold my bike the shop had no idea what the bracket was so I'm guessing that not a lot of people use it! If I had a centerstand fitted as standard I'd never take it off - it's a opening up a world of unnecessary hassle. I'm not sure why but I could get to the drain plug without any modification - I read of need to remove the pipe to drain the oil. Stuff that!
Grum.
Edit: To answer the original question, the bike was as slow and economical with the new pipe as it was with the original system. The bike was a bit lighter due to the paint that got knocked off fitting the blooming thing. I think I cried with frustration getting the pipes to line up!

If anyone could make replacement 2:1 joints for the standard D6 pipes they would sell like hot cakes.
