just a few snaps from my recent north wales trip. planned to take a lot more pics, but the wind and rain put paid to that! these were taken on the odd dry spell. this is bwlch y groes heading towards bala. i hit snow just up the road. this is on the spectacular B4418 south of caernarfon. This is day 2 on great orme. a great blast around the "island". most of it is one way only, so scooting round the cliffside road was great fun. this is the llanberis pass, looking down on the beddgelert road to the left. snow on the hills up ahead. few miles further on i was hit by a hailstorm. day 3 and the weather finally improves over lake vyrnwy. cracking ride back to carmarthen on almost dry roads, down through newtown to llandovery. quick snack then home. great few days despite the weather. wind was so strong accross the evo triangle(A543), i was running in third gear. wouldnt pull 4th let alone fifth! nearly pulled my tankbag off at one point. best thing about going in wet weather, no cops, no power rangers. just a few beemer riders from ireland.

Reading this has inspired me to get off my ar*e and do a run, thinking about rotherham to anglesey on day one via blue john caves, hope and hathersedge, day two along the coast past porthmaddoch, harlech, barmouth and aberdovey, final day around bala and betsycoed and back through leek and bakewell to sunny rotherham, anyone has any ideas or good routes and cheap campsites, i would love to hear from them.

This may have been posted ages ago but just stumbled upon it - first 'big trip' for the missus and I anywhere on a bike was to north wales last september time, and just done a trip (with practically no rain!) from sussex to celtic manor and back for a work do. Some very happy memories
