If I am not mistaken, sport tyres usually require some heat before they are 100% effective. As do all tyres. But Diablo's warm up very quickly indeed. They ain't proper sporty racing tyres, just road-going-plebs 'sporty' ones.

You're certainly not mistaken - but it wasn't overly chilly today, and the rear was spinning up a bit, so should have produced a bit of heat The roads were just horribly slippery, and will be worse going home. Having said that they are lasting quite well - over 2000 miles on them and the rear is only about half worn. The front has fared much better. £134.95 delivered

I think I'll go for the Angel on the back though, see how they work as a pair..... Oh when will it ever end . Currently at 5475 miles on my rear Angel on the Fazer Thou. Grand mileage indeed, compared to the Diablo Sport (3000), but heck the grip is so pants , wet or dry [1]. Can't wait for it to wear out [2] & be replaced. [1] Pants often wet, after scary slides on crappy tyre! [2] Obviously I'm too tight to junk a road-legal tyre .

Get it replaced with a Diablo sharpish. The bike and your well being are worth more than 500 miles of Tyre wear.
You tight git.

Sound reasoning - it's a precious cargo I carry in this noggin' of mine . Instead I chose to palm it off on someone else on the JR2012 run, & enjoy myself blatting about on his bike instead .

Did fiasco realise how dangerous those tyres were when he was doing those 140 mph wheelies.

Did fiasco realise how dangerous those tyres were when he was doing those 140 mph wheelies. I'm guessing so, judging by how far he hung back .
